Up-front Protonpricing Policy

PROTON Cars Australia has announced it will adopt driveaway pricing on all its models in line with suggestions from the ACCC and the industry's own Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.

PCA's national sales manager, Steven Thomas, says it is clear that driveaway pricing, first started here almost a decade ago by Hyundai, will become the industry standard, making sales easier for both dealers and customers.

"Our dealers are happy because the move will enhance their profitability while buyers won't be surprised by variable delivery or statutory charges," Thomas said.

Proton's new pricing structure will give buyers the full up-front price including delivery, registration, compulsory third party insurance and stamp duty.
